Self-Designed Coloring Pages
Coloring was always so soothing as a kid, even if we didn’t know it. At some point in our lives, we stopped coloring. Whatever the reason, I am glad that adults have come back to it. We have realized the positive affects it has on us. It distracts us from our stresses and gives us a creative outlet. When I have nothing to do with myself, I feel more stressed than when I have specific tasks to do (yay chronic mental health issues). I could be doing so many things, so how do I sit still and do nothing? Coloring is one of the things I do in those times.
There are tons of coloring books out there made specifically for adults. However, I discovered that you can make your own with AI, and started using that as a sort of add-on to this creative outlet. I use Photoroom because I have the pro version for editing dog grooming photos with AI. Photoroom has a feature specific for designing coloring pages with AI, so instead of writing a bunch of stuff, ill just include some I have made and enjoyed coloring myself because they relate to my life. I don’t make any money from Photoroom or anything in this post. It’s simply to share my positive experience with others who may relate and find it soothing for them too. Also, it is AI, so please excuse if there of some weird AI flubs in the designs. They just give it character lol, it’s all for fun anyways.
I had so much fun creating these designs, and will definitely be creating more as I run out of things to color. One way to use them is to print them out and color with marker, colored pencil, crayon, whatever you have. Another way is to save it to your tablet and use an app to color it. On my iPad, I used the Freeform app, which is basically a whiteboard app, and used my Apple Pencil to color. I uploaded the image and used the highlighter function so I can still see the lines underneath. If you’d like to create your own, I am not sure if the free version of the Photoroom app includes the feature, so I will have to try that out, but you can also use ChatGPT. I am somewhat new to the AI game (to be fair, AI is still quite new), so if you have more ideas or love these coloring pages, shoot me a message and let me know.
